Next, travel to Saint Pierre du Mont, Calvados, secured by Allied forces and then used as a combat airfield from June to September 1944. In the afternoon, visit the town of Bayeux, the first town to be liberated from German control in June 1944. See the most famous tapestry in the world, a unique artefact created in the 11th century. This ancient fortress, listed as a Historic Monument, has been transformed over the centuries. After welcoming the kings of France, it was occupied by the intellectuals of the Enlightenment, then by Field Marshal Rommel during the Second World War. You will learn about the most influential General of the German Wehrmacht. Striking that he was renowned as an innovator of armoured tactics, particularly as commander of the Afrika Korps in North Africa. Continue to Reims. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7
Tuesday, June 9

SEDAN - BASTNACHT - NETHERLANDS - GERMANY

Early in the morning, cross the border to Belgium and see the famous 101St airborne Museum. Discover the museum with its rich collections relating to the Battle of Bastogne. Surrounded by the German army, the division distinguished itself by its tenacity. It faced a lightning German advance in extreme atmospheric and sanitary conditions. Continue to the Netherlands, where a second important museum is waiting to be discovered. The Wings of Liberation Museum in Eindhoven tells the compelling story of the liberation of the southern Netherlands at the end of World War II. The museum is situated in the area where, on 17 September 1944, airborne operations as part of Operation Market Garden marked the beginning of the liberation of the southern Netherlands. After this impressive insight cross the border to Germany and check in to the Hotel Aachen. Dinner and overnight in Germany.

Day 8
Wednesday, June 10

ORDENSBURG VOGELSANG - NUREMBURG

Today you will be asked a question. Whether you served in the military or not. What was the attraction of a place like Vogelsang during the National Socialist period? What did the party leadership promise young men coming here regarding their future? What motivated their hopes and their desire for social advancement? Were they, through drill and formation, predestined to participate in crimes, or could they have also said no? Did they see themselves as members of a supposed master race and act upon this? It can be time to contemplate as a group. Throughout a guided tour, discover the exhibition “Destiny: Master Race”, maybe one can get answers. First and foremost, ask questions. This exhibition aims to encourage questions such as those posed above to provoke new thoughts and ideas. Furthermore, it allows these questions to be asked, even if they appear to be disconcerting when posed while exploring the history of National Socialism. Continue to Nuremberg, one of Hitler's most beloved cities. Even today, gigantic building remains on the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds in the south of Nuremberg bear witness to the megalomania of the National Socialist regime. A monumental backdrop for the NSDAP's self-presentation was to be built here. Visit the Documentation Centre of the Nazi Party Rally Grounds. Dinner and overnight in Nuremberg.

Day 9
Thursday, June 11

NUREMBURG - DACHAU - MUNICH - KUFSTEIN (AUSTRIA)

Leave Nuremberg and drive to the concentration camp that was active for the longest time in the Nazi era. "Dachau - the meaning of this name cannot be erased from German history. It stands for concentration camps built by the Nazis in their territory." 1933, the Nazi regime opened a concentration camp on the grounds a defunct factory complex that once produced gunpowder and ammunition. This prison and place of terror existed for twelve years. More than 200,000 prisoners from over 40 nations were imprisoned in the Dachau concentration camp and its subcamps; at least 41,500 persons died here of hunger and illness, from the torture they suffered, were murdered, or perished from the consequences of their imprisonment. After U.S. Army units had liberated the prisoners on April 29, 1945, the American military government used the former prisoner camp as a displaced persons camp. Continue to Kufstein, located in Austria. Dinner and overnight in Austria.

Day 10
Friday, June 12

KUFSTEIN - EAGLES NEST

After breakfast, scenic drive through the Austrian mountains to pass the border again to visit the infamous Eagle's Nest. As a symbol of the power of the Nazi regime, decisions were made at the Eagle’s Nest. It still stands for the insanity of the regime and the world on the Obersalzberg, where plans for war and mass murder were formed. In defiance, the building stands perched over a sheer rock wall. A road was cut into the mountain through previously impassable terrain. To reach it, there is a golden brass elevator buried in the heart of the mountain, through which you can reach "the summit of power“ – all this has been created with the sole purpose to impress and dazzle people. Return to Kufstein for dinner and overnight.
